Butterfly are thrilled to announce our new partnership with GIANTS Netball as one of their chosen charity partners for 2021.
While this may be an approach to how the GIANTS apply themselves on court, it’s also incredibly true for those in recovery from eating disorders and body image concerns. By embodying the GIANTS’ values of communication, accountability, selflessness and confidence, we encourage everyone to see that strength comes from within – and that you won’t be beaten down if you continue to get back up. The GIANTS are bold, confident and selfless. They believe in themselves and their team, speak honestly and openly, and we couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces to raise awareness and vital funds for those impacted by eating disorders and body image concerns.
Butterfly’s CEO Kevin Barrow expressed his gratitude to the GIANTS for choosing Butterfly as one of their chosen charity partners for 2021.
“As the national body for eating disorders and body image concerns, this partnership provides a significant opportunity for Butterfly to reach more young people and their families,” he said.
“Our prevention services support positive messaging and role modelling to schools, parents and the community, and this partnership will help us build on this valuable work.
“With the GIANTS’ support we can work towards changing the way young people talk to themselves and each other about their bodies, moving to a place where everyone can accept and appreciate their body and what it can do.”

Butterfly Foundation is the national charity for all Australians impacted by eating disorders and body image issues, and for the families, friends and communities who support them.
Butterfly hopes to change this statistic by providing innovative, evidence-based support services, treatment and resources, delivering prevention and early intervention programs and advocating for the needs of our community.
Butterfly operates a National Helpline that includes support over the phone, via email and online, reaching 30,000 people each year. The Helpline is staffed by trained counsellors experienced in assisting with eating disorders and body image issues. We also provide a wide range of programs for service providers and recovery groups.
We need your help to bring about change to the culture, policy and practice in the prevention, treatment and support of those affected by eating disorders and body image issues. Together, we can come together to achieve our vision of living in a world that celebrates health, wellbeing and diversity.
