Body Kind Schools is Australia’s largest annual positive body image movement for young people (aged 11-18 years) providing free and engaging activities to help young Australians find ways to be kind to their own body and to others. Body Kind Schools is just one part of Butterfly’s Body Kind initiative to create environments which support body confidence for all.
Anyone working with young people can get involved. Body Kind Schools learning activities have been developed for young people in late primary and secondary (11-18yo) and other youth settings. However, some of the general awareness activities can also be implemented with younger primary school aged students.
Registrations must be by an adult.
It can be challenging to know how to address body image concerns. Body Kind Schools makes it simpler.
It’s fun, flexible and FREE! You choose which activities you do from the range of free resources provided and decide when you do it; whatever works for you. Activities can be teacher-led or peer-led.
Sign-up now and you’ll be joining thousands of schools and youth organisations around Australia in addressing this important issue, in support of Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week (held annually during the first full week of September).
